Our club

Our history

Woking Football Club has a proud history in non-league football and is Surrey’s most successful team. Founded in 1889, we are famous for FA Cup giant-killings and have won the FA Trophy a record three times. Woking FC is recognised as a traditional, family club with deep roots in the local community.

Woking FC has survived thanks to the incredible efforts of a committed army of volunteers, yet Kingfield is now showing its age and without major infrastructure investment in new facilities the club’s future is uncertain.

The club has been looking for two decades to build a new stadium to secure the club’s future so it can build on its rich history and continue to create new memories for future generations of supporters.

Our club

Our future

The Woking Community Stadium is a once in a generation opportunity to build a new home at Kingfield, our home for almost 100 years.

The new stadium will enable us to build for the future Woking FC and to become more successful on and off the pitch, whilst staying firmly rooted in the community to which we belong.

Modern, multi-purpose facilities in the new stadium will improve and expand what we can provide for our supporters, appeal to new audiences and expand what we offer to local business and the community. This will create new revenue streams to make the club more sustainable.

The Woking Community Stadium will give Woking FC the foundations it needs to secure the club’s future and to compete in the English Football League.

Our club

The Woking Community Stadium will be a modern stadium for professional football with a capacity of approximately 10,000. The new stadium is designed to help the club achieve its vision for the future.

Our club

Our plans

Designed by specialist stadium architects Holmes Miller, the stadium will accommodate around 10,000 spectators and includes facilities needed to secure the future of the club and deliver the new stadium vision.

There will be standing terraces behind both goals and the low, enclosed stadium roof will shelter all supporters from the elements and keep in the noise to create a great atmosphere inside the stadium.

Public concourses will be under cover with toilets and kiosks conveniently positioned within short distances from the terraces and every supporter will enjoy an unobstructed view of the pitch.

The stadium will meet all English Football League stadium design guidelines and regulations.

Our club

Our fans

Our supporters are the lifeblood of our club their passion, love and commitment make Woking FC a uniquely welcoming family club. The Woking Community Stadium is our opportunity to give something back to our fans.

The new stadium will increase comfort, convenience and choice for all fans on matchdays. Alongside modern facilities, the design will reflect the history and heritage that matters most to supporters, ensuring it feels like home.

The stands will be as close to the pitch as possible and there will be standing terraces behind both goals. The low, enclosed stadium roof will shelter all supporters from the elements and keep in the noise to create a great atmosphere inside the stadium.

All public concourses will be under cover, with facilities conveniently positioned a short distance from the terraces. Every supporter will enjoy an unobstructed view of the pitch.

We will work with supporters to get the character and environment right, so matchdays have a vibrant atmosphere unique to Woking FC.

Our club

Our club

Our town

Woking is a vibrant growing town that is undergoing an exciting transformation to secure its position as a desirable destination in the South of England to live and work.

Building on our strong roots and proud history at Kingfield, the Woking Community Stadium will enable the club to match the ambitions of the town and secure our place in the heart of the community.
